Introducing the Shurayh Counselling Practice, an empowering initiative within the esteemed Shurayh College, dedicated to offering vital counseling services rooted in faith for the Muslim community in Sydney. Led by the renowned former Judge, Dr Shaykh Mohammad Alabdulkarim, our practice embodies a holistic approach that seamlessly combines Islamic values with evidence-based counselling methods. With a focus on cultural relevance and effectiveness, we strive to provide integrated and spiritually coherent therapeutic procedures.
The Shurayh Counselling Practice also aims to raise awareness about issues pertaining to mental health and faith, hoping to build more leaders that are conscious of both realities and operate within a coherent, practical paradigm.

Dr. Shaykh Mohammad Alabdulkarim
Shaykh Mohammad is passionate about advancing the community’s awareness about Islam and mental health and addressing some of the problems we face. Along with his Islamic background, he brings a critical understanding of the contemporary world to the table, having studied and completed a Masters in Law. Currently, Shaykh Mohammad serves as the founder and director of Shurayh College, and spends his time researching and preaching to righteousness.
