Our story
The Shurayh Counselling Practice is an initiative within Shurayh College, dedicated to faith-rooted counselling for the Muslim community in Sydney. Led by former Judge Dr Shaykh Mohammad Alabdulkarim, the practice brings together Islamic values and evidence-based counselling methods — care that is culturally relevant, spiritually coherent, and genuinely effective.
Alongside our work with clients, we aim to raise awareness about mental health and faith, and to nurture leaders who hold both realities together within a practical, principled paradigm.
